The Area Around Hammersø and Allinge-Sandvig

On the north coast of Bornholm – right in the heart of the picturesque nature reserve Hammerknuden (commonly referred to as Hammeren) – Hotel Hammersø is located directly on the shore of Hammersø. From Hammerhavn, you can enjoy charming boat trips along the coast and hear some great stories: Hammerhavnens Bådfart. The trip is definitely worth recommending!

Rock carvings at Madsebakke, the Moseløkken Quarry Museum, Ringebakkebruddet, Salomon's Chapel… and the list could go on. In the twin towns of Allinge-Sandvig, a wealth of opportunities awaits nature lovers and culture enthusiasts.


From Hotel Hammersø, it’s just a few minutes' walk to the cozy Sandvig Harbor and Beach. Throughout the summer, Sandvig hosts a variety of events and recurring activities: Tuesday Market at the beach promenade, Music at the Sandvig Stage, Sandvig Music Festival in week 29, and much more. In Allinge, only about 2 km from Hotel Hammersø, you'll find a wider selection of cafes and restaurants. Here, you can enjoy the atmosphere around Allinge Harbor or experience the many great concerts and music events at various locations around the town.

Every year in week 24, Allinge-Sandvig becomes the center of the "Folkemødet" – a unique gathering point for democratic dialogue, which attracts over 100,000 visitors from all over Denmark each year.
